Dr. Edward M. Miller was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He has been a pediatric dentist in Greensboro, North Carolina since 1973. He graduated from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry in 1969 and then served two years in the US Army Dental Corps. He earned a Masters Degree in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1973.

Dr. Miller is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, member of the American Dental Association and several local dental societies. He has served on the volunteer staff of The University of North Carolina Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Headstart, and Children's Home Society.

Dr. Miller's interests include physical fitness and outdoor skills, amateur radio, and sailing for which he holds a commercial captain license. Dr. Miller and his wife Martha have a son Matthew and two grandchildren, Miles and Meridian.
